Working Principle
The 1 inch irrigation solenoid valve controls the pilot orifice via a solenoid valve, and the switch is driven by water pressure:
Closed (No Power): Solenoid valve de-energized, pilot orifice closed → Upper chamber fills with high-pressure water → Diaphragm tightly seals against valve seat → Water flow blocked.
Opened (Electrified): Controller signal → Electromagnetic valve magnetic field lifts plunger → Pilot orifice opens → Upper chamber drains → Lower chamber water pressure pushes diaphragm upward → Main valve seat opens → Water flow resumes.
Latching type: Short pulses reverse magnetic polarity to lock valve position, eliminating continuous power supply and achieving energy-saving benefits.
