2 Inch Plastic Foot Valve

The 2 inch Plastic Foot Valve is a classic product in our irrigation and pump accessories series. Designed specifically for the end of a pump's suction line, it prevents backflow of water after pump shutdown, ensuring the line remains full of water upon restart and enabling rapid self-priming. Made from high-strength engineering PVC, it is a single-piece injection molded red cylinder with a grille-style inlet cover at the top and a 2-inch standard threaded connection at the bottom. The internal valve disc features a circular rubber sheet with spring support, ensuring a tight fit to the valve seat when closed. The grille cover has multiple longitudinal reinforcing ribs, guaranteeing high-flow-rate water intake while effectively blocking debris.

Reliable backflow prevention: Valve disc + spring combination ensures rapid closure, eliminates water hammer, prevents pump backflow, and protects the impeller and motor.

Anti-clogging grille design: The upper cage-like grille effectively blocks large particles of debris and is easy to clean

1.Install at the bottom of the suction pipe and tighten clockwise.

2.Vertical installation (valve body facing down) is recommended to ensure the valve closes naturally.

3.Before first use, fill with water to remove air and ensure the pipe is full of water.

4.Regularly (quarterly or semi-annually) remove and clean the grille and valve to prevent blockage by sediment and algae.

5.Drain any accumulated water when not in use during winter to prevent freezing and cracking.
